Job Description
Provide skills to apply archival, records preservation, research technique and records management principles. Arranges, evaluates, classifies and determines logical organization of analog and digital materials. Locates archived information using finding aides and guides; develops content listings, indices and guides; assists with determining preservation and storage requirements; provides research and/or reference services; inventorying records and appraising materials for legal, historical, or administrative significance and value.
Assist with the development of record management programs with state agencies and political subdivisions. Arrange and describe born digital records for the on-going preservation of electronic records in a manner to ensure readability, accessibility, and understandability over time. Assists with electronic record keeping systems to include acquisition, arrangement and description, preservation and access of electronic records of permanent values. Assist in the development of backup and disaster recovery procedures and of security plans and procedures for electronic for record systems.
