Job Description
Our ideal candidate is a creative and articulate professional who enjoys working in a dynamic team-focused environment where change and growth are constants. You must have at least five years of progressively responsible public library administrative experience and at least two years of supervisory experience. Top candidates must be committed to providing excellent patron service, and must be a proven innovator in the area of community involvement. Strong leadership skills are required, in addition to experience with effectively leading, mentoring, managing and supporting a large and busy staff (almost 90 employees) that serves our largest and busiest branch. You also must have experience with successfully managing a budget. You must demonstrate familiarity with current library practices, trends, philosophies and the latest in library technology. An MLS degree is required.
