Job Description
Employee provides lead supervision for the library's processing and receiving section, including: • Establishes daily work schedules and priorities • Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of the processing and receiving functions • Performs the day-to-day supervision of the hourly staff assigned to the Receiving & Processing section • Administers or makes recommendations for routine personnel matters affecting hourly staff • Advises, assists and resolves problems for all staff in the section • Meets deliveries, receives and unpacks library materials, reconciles invoices and keys the information into the library’s online tracking system • Processes books and other materials for library circulation • Evaluates inventories of material processing supplies and building office supplies; assures appropriate inventory levels; coordinates the purchasing of supplies • Oversees and performs the receipt, sorting and delivery of building mail • Attends meetingsAdditional Info & Requirements
This is a physically demanding job requiring frequent lifting of 25-40 pounds and pushing and pulling loaded library book carts and stock trucks. May be asked to work an evening, weekend, or minor holiday. Experience involving computer work with databases and/or other types of public library work experiences preferred.HR Info
