Job Description
Professional, managerial level work in supervising the operations of a community branch, serving as a member of the Library's management team and advocating for library services. Works as a professional librarian to provide direct public service.

Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted no later than April 27, 2015. Interviews will tentatively be scheduled the week of May 11, 2015. Tentative target start date for the Edgewater Branch will be early June and for Broadneck it will be mid-June, 2015.
Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a Master's Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited program and six years professional experience in the provision of public library services, including four years of supervisory experience.
Necessary Special Requirement: Ability to secure certification as an advanced Professional Librarian in the State of Maryland within 120 days following appointment; ability to meet re-certification requirements by completing 90 hours of training every 5 years.
