The Southwest Acupuncture College is looking for a Librarian with a proactive attitude that can bring knowledge as well as innovation to our library. Qualified candidates will maintain the administrative and day-to-day functions of the library. You utilize your skills in: cataloging, collection development, reference, and information literacy to support research in the curriculum. You provide information on library policies and procedures. Your reference role includes to search files, reference shelves, and electronic systems to locate requested information. Additionally, you establish goals and measure outcomes based on usage statistics and other tools for determing needs. You plan and coordinate programs such as a speaker series and other events, as applicable. In serving a learning community of 100-150 committed students in an intensive, graduate school program, you seek best practices to help students and faculty connect with our library. Valuing professional growth, you maintain current awareness of professional trends and methods. As part of a team, you participate in monthly staff meetings, student orientations, and library committee meetings. The Boulder location is one of 3 campuses with the other 2 in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico with some coordination between the campuses for library improvements and interoperability.
Job Description
Provide library and research services for the college alongside maintenance of the library and its collections. Ensure that resources and services are current and accessible to library users as needed. Reports directly to the Campus Director. Responsibilities are as follows:

- Seek best practices to help students and faculty connect with our library. You ensure their learning needs are met, be they database searches or through enrichment activities
- Maintain current awareness of professional trends and methods
- Participate in monthly staff meetings, student orientations, and library committee meetings
- Collaboarate with other 2 campuses as needed for library improvements and interoperability
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
- Word processing software
- Spreadsheet software
- Database software
- Classroom Management systems & IRLs
- Abilities with newsletter software a plus, but not required
