Fremont County Library System, headquartered in Lander Wyoming, is currently searching for a Library Director. Successful candidate must share our passion for library services in a rural setting, bring budget expertise to guide a 3 million dollar annual budget, and bring library experience to mentor managers and staff towards continued growth in technology and public service. Collaboration with county, state and national government and library agencies is an essential job skill. Our three libraries, located in Dubois, Lander and Riverton, serve a population of 41,000 and the director will become the public face for our system. Humor, adaptability, diplomacy and professional grace are necessary character traits.
Applicant will have the following qualifications: MLS from an ALA-accredited library program, and/or 5 or more years of progressively responsible public library experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary range is mid-$60,000’s with a full benefit package.
