Be a part of a transformational library committed to connecting the community to new and creative technology in meaningful ways. We are not a typical library, and this is not a typical library job. We are looking to fill 2 part time positions at our downtown Meridian, Idaho technology center expected to open this fall. These positions provide patron-focused library service in response to the technology information needs of library users. This position focuses on hosting and planning library programs and events in addition to providing information and reference assistance to library patrons.
Number of Hours: 19 hours per week or based on business need.
Rate of Pay: $13.22 per hour
This position is not eligible for benefits.
Additional Info & Requirements
A bachelor’s degree and publicspeaking experience. Bilingual, preferably SpanishEnglish, RussianEnglish, or other languages. Desired personal attributes include: a positive approach to interacting with the public, a continuous desire to update technology skills, and a sense of humor. Proficiency in both Windows and Mac operating systems. Knowledge and experience with music, video, and audio editing software. Knowledge of microcontrollers and basic robotics. Must be able to work alone at a location and be able to juggle multiple priorities and patron needs.
