Job Description

Assists internal and occasionally external customers by solving III system problems and assists with III system changes and updates. (35%) Problem solves individualized issues reported by staff by troubleshooting, researching, identifying the problem or referring the problem to the System Administrator in order to solve the immediate problem facing the staff member or patron. (25%) Assists the System Administrator in setting up new features by researching the III system, configuring and installing, testing, preparing documentation and training staff in order to relieve the System Administrator of administrative level duties. (20%) Prepares routing and simple reports by running database queries in the III system in order to satisfy requests for information regarding weeding and library usage statistics. (20%) Manipulates records by isolating records and adding, changing or deleting information in order to effect changes in the database.

Additional Info & Requirements

Customer Service experience, knowledge of MARC records preferred. Courtesy, tact, diplomacy, and the ability to remain professional and calm in high-stress situations. 2-5 years experience also preferred.
