Summary Description:
Handles all aspects of the Library’s ordering operations for a wide variety of materials in support of the College’s mission. Sets up, expends and monitors materials funds; manages over 80 endowed funds and other operating funds earmarked for materials. Prepares year-end acquisitions reports; prepares and analyzes financial and bibliographic data and statistics related to acquisitions expenses; serves as the primary bibliographer for the Leisure Reading collection. Supervises and trains one fulltime non-exempt staff.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; two years related experience in the book trade or in a library required; ability to interpret and verify bibliographic records. Independent critical thinking, decision making and problem solving abilities are essential; excellent oral and written communication skills; attention to detail and ability to perform detailed work for extended periods; proficient with computer software programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience working in a networked computer environment and knowledge of file management; excellent customer service and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with specialized library management systems such as Innovative Interfaces preferred. Academic library experience preferred; knowledge of the publishing industry; interest in, and knowledge of, current fiction, literature and book review resources.
