Job Description

Requisition # 2016-00073. One part-time non-benefited position scheduled in the Teen Department for 12 hours per week. Scheduled work hours are:

Wednesdays: 5-9 pm on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays and 1-5 pm on 2nd and 4th Wednesdays  Sundays: 12:30-5 pm Tuesdays : 3:30-7 pm

Works primarily at the YA public services desk helping teens and adults with readers advisory services. Performs a variety of routine and specialized clerical and public service work in support ofthe Young Adult department. Works in partnership with other employees, other divisions, external entities, and the public in delivering effective and innovative services. Provides holistic services to internal and external customers by seeking ways to integrate programs or services provided by other departments, divisions, and external entities.

Salary: $ 16.00-18.65 hourly

Training: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university

Experience: One year experience at a Library public desk or equivalent that applicant possesses Necessary Applicant Traits. Experience working with Youth 9-18.

Broomfield is located along the US 36 corridor, about 10 mintes from Boulder and 20 minutes from Denver, Colorado. The 2013 census estimates that 59,471 people reside in the City of Broomfield. The racial make-up of the city is 86.1% White, 11.1% Latino, 6.1 % Asian, and 1.1% African-American, and 6 % Native American.
