Job Description

The Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library invites applications for the Reference and Technology Librarian position.  Are you an out-going and customer-oriented person who loves promoting library services? Do you get great satisfaction from pairing patrons with the right services to meet their information and technology needs? We are seeking a creative and collaborative team member for our Adult services department. You will be welcoming and guiding patrons at the reference desk on a daily basis and helping to shape services around computer skills, technology instruction, and introducing the community to emerging technologies. If you are tech smart, friendly, adaptable, and team-oriented, we would like to hear from you.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Experience providing public reference service
  • Experience with programming and instruction
  • Proficiency in technology and an interest in emerging trends
  • Experience implementing and evaluating programs and services
  • Supervisory experience, including training
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to respond effectively to changing needs and priorities showing initiative, flexibility and a desire for process improvement
