Job Description

Fort Worth, Texas, the City of Cowboys and Culture, is home to more than 812,000 residents and the county seat of Tarrant County. It is the 16th largest city in the US and the fifth largest city in Texas. The Fort Worth Library System has 16 locations, 212 FTEs, and an annual budget of $20.4 million. The Library is a city department under the administration of the City Manager, through an Assistant City Manager. It also operates under the guidance of a council-appointed Library Advisory Board and is supported by the Friends of the Fort Worth Public Library, Inc. as well as The Fort Worth Public Library Foundation. The Library Director directly supervises two Assistant Directors.
