The Community

Lyons Regional Library District transitioned into a district on July 1, 2015. Before that the library was operated by the Town of Lyons. Due to the devastating floods of Sept. 2013 the library is in a temporary building on Main Street in Lyons. The plan, which is underway, is to build a new library building/community resource center of about 8,000 square feet in the Town of Lyons with a completion goal of Spring 2018. Our district currently serves about 4,500 patrons as well as a growing influx of tourists. Experience working in a district known for its natural beauty, camping, hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, music festivals, and athletic and creative communities.
