Summary Description:
Retrieves requested library materials from the Creekside remote library facility following procedures to assure items are transported, tracked and re-shelved in a timely and efficient manner. Completes repairs for damaged books and other library materials using current preservation methods and standards.

Required Qualifications:
High school graduate and minimum two years of related experience. Proficient with computer software programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and familiarity with Web browsers. Experience working in a networked environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to think critically and problem solve; good judgment and organizational skills; strong customer service skills; attention to detail. Familiarity with bibliographic records. Considerable sitting, reaching and grasping, light physical effort (lifting up to 40 pounds). Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and standing, possible exposure to chemicals and solvents. Ability to push loaded book truck. Proficient with standard office equipment such as personal computer, laser printer, copy machine, telephone, calculator, fax machine. Ability to work weekend hours. Must have valid driver’s license and insurable by Colorado College’s insurance carrier.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years’ college/Associate’s degree preferred. Experience with book binding and repair. Familiarity with Unbind machine and other preservation equipment such as small hand tools, awl, glue gun and needle/thread.
