Job Description

Librarian for Outreach & Student Engagement

The Albert S. Cook Library invites applications for a 12-month Outreach & Student Engagement Librarian I position beginning Fall 2016. Help develop and lead library programs related to student engagement, information literacy instruction, and library orientation, as well as connect the library with campus-wide initiatives focused on student success, engagement, and academic well-being. Manage the library’s student leadership program and supervise student participants. Collaborate on the design, implementation, and assessment of library student outreach initiatives with a focus on special student populations. This collaboration will also extend to departments across campus in both academic and student affairs divisions on university wide programs focused on student engagement and academic success. In addition to supervising and mentoring participants in the library’s student leadership institute program, continually develop, assess and manage the program to meet the needs of the library and fulfill the program’s experiential learning mission.
