Job Description
Lafayette Public Library is looking for energetic, positive, proactive, and curious customer service associates to work at our lobby and computer lab service points.
16 hours/week, including one night per week and one full weekend per month
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a courteous, positive image of the library when interacting with customers and staff
- Provide information to customers in person and on the phone
- Answer questions regarding library policies, procedures and records
- Maintain customer and staff confidentiality
- Accept payment for fines and fees
- Check-out Materials
- Create and update customer records using the Sierra Integrated Library System
- Assist customers with the use of library equipment and resources, including computers, e-readers, the online catalog, the internet, databases, printers, scanners, photocopiers and emerging technology
