Job Description

The University of Wyoming Libraries is seeking applicants for the Wyoming Liaison for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine Regional Medical Library program. The mission of the NN/LM is to promote access to and effective use of health information (http://nnlm.gov/). Wyoming is part of the Mid-Continental Region, which consists of Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri. This is a ¾ time, grant funded position. RESPONSIBILITIES: Promotes resources developed and/or supported by the National Library of Medicine and other quality resources to Wyoming libraries, health professionals and consumers. Provides referrals and information about NLM services and products. Works with NN/LM team members in other states to support NN/LM programs. Shares administrative responsibilities with other Mid-Continental RML liaisons for NN/LM program development, assessment and evaluation of programs, technology training, grant development and monitoring of funded programs. Reports to the Associate Dean of Libraries.

Additional Info & Requirements

PREFERRED: Experience with NLM databases and products. Experience in teaching or training, including teaching with and about technology. Experience in a health sciences library. Experience working as part of a virtual team. Evidence of interest in professional involvement in medical or academic librarianship.
