Job Description

Through independent research, assists management by coordinating and implementing decisions related to material handling and patron services functions in order to establish a system-wide delivery of services. 20% RESEARCH - Researches trends in public library operations and support by performing literature searches, conducting surveys, analyzing information and preparing recommendations in order to provide information for management decision making. 60% COORDINATION - Coordinates implementation of decisions by project planning, coordinating project teams, developing guidelines, troubleshooting problems, and communicating with stakeholders in order to assist the management decision-maker in facilitating changes in operations and support practices. 15% CONTINUOUS PROCESS IMPROVEMENT - Evaluates practices by collecting and analyzing data in order to make recommendations that facilitate the continuous improvement of library operations and support processes. 5% LIAISON - Provides input by participating in vendor meetings and conferences and communicating changes in operations and support practices in order to effectively collaborate with Library District business partners.

The Community

Established in 1966, the Arapahoe Library District serves more than 200,000 residents living in Arapahoe County. Arapahoe County and other major suburban counties make up the greater metropolitan area surrounding Denver, Colorado. The Arapahoe Library District operates eight branch libraries, an Outreach Service that provides mobile library services, and a library at the County Detention Center, funded by the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Department. A seven-member Board of Trustees sets the library budget and determines policy.
