LIBRARIAN I
Lincoln Library, The Public Library of Springfield, Illinois, is seeking an individual to facilitate user access to the library materials by creating original and copy catalog records for materials in all formats. Perfom skilled professional library functions; uses independent judgment requiring a thorough knowledge of information storage and retrieval theory, collection development, preservation and cataloging principles. This position requires a Master’s degree in Library Science. Evening and weekend hours required.
Current employees (where applicable) and persons hired after 1-1-17 shall maintain their bona fide residence within the corporate limits of the city during all periods of service.
This position is covered by AFSCME Local #3738 CURRENT EMPLOYEES WITHIN THIS BARGAINING UNIT WILL BE CONSIDERED BEFORE ANY OTHER APPLICANT.
