Defiance is located in the northwest corner of Ohio, 55 miles southwest of Toledo, Ohio and 45 miles east of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The City of Defiance has an estimated population of 17,000 and serves as the County seat for Defiance County. The Defiance Public Library System has a main library and two branches servicing all of Defiance County.

Preferred Qualifications/Requirements: ALA Accredited MLS/MLIS; minimum 4 years library experience; progressive levels of responsibility and supervision; or
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Management with commitment to complete MLS/MLIS in 5 years; minimum of 4 years library experience; progressive levels of responsibility.
