Job Description
The Stoughton Public Library in Stoughton, Wisconsin is seeking a part-time (15-18 hours per week) Library Intern who will focus on providing services to teens and tweens, with additional work with all ages.
This position extends for approximately 36 weeks beginning in September, 2017. The successful candidate must commit to working in this position for its duration.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to create and schedule innovative and creative teen and tween programming, teach the use of the public library as a lifelong resource, work at public service desks, and consistently present the Stoughton Public Library and its resources to the public in a positive manner.
The work includes some nights and some Saturdays. We will work around your course schedule.

Additional Info & Requirements
Minimum requirements:
- Current enrollment in a Masters of Library and Information Sciences program from an ALA-accredited college with a graduation date after April, 2018 preferred
- At least one year of library experience with a background in adult or youth services desired
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of confidentiality of library records
- Computer skills including database searching and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
- Familiarity with Koha ILS/LinkCat OPAC or other ILS desired
- Experience with e-readers, social media, and computer troubleshooting desired
- Experience working with teens and/or tweens desired.
