Reporting to the Lead Copyright Officer, the successful candidate will work in service of the library Copyright Office’sstrategic goals. The office provides excellent educational resources, including written materials as well as workshops and presentations, to the university community. The Copyright Office does not provide legal advice.

Responsibilities*

  • Write extensive material for a wide range of purposes, including copyright-related information tools, templates and guides, project and collection memos, and correspondence with individuals.

  • Coordinate, execute, and assess outreach efforts designed to engage the University of Michigan community and the public on copyright-related issues.

  • Provide copyright-related information to the university community through online resources, e-mail, and consultations both in-person and online.

  • Manage, refine, and create new content for the Copyright Office website and its research guides.

  • Recruit, hire, and manage intern assignments as well as develop opportunities for students interested in working with the Copyright Office.
