Elbert County Library District Library Director Elbert County Library District seeks an energetic,visionary leader to: Utilize current and future technology to develop innovative services and create a world class library Develop a vision that positions the library system as the center of activity and relevance to all residents Build new libraries in an area of dynamic growth and dirt roads Raise funds for capital improvements Act as a change agent for a devoted staff of 32 and further develop a staff for growth Become a community and library leader in Colorado The Elbert County Library district www.elbertcountylibrary.org is: Located within an hour of Denver and Colorado Springs Operates with an annual budget of $850,000 Serves an expanding community which ranges from suburban to ranchland Provides service through four small facilities; circulating over 112,000 items to a county that is primed for growth of library services Is supported by a board that encourages vision, innovation,community and professional involvement. Qualified applicants will present demonstrated leadership skills, relevant library achievements, and an MLS or equivalent. Salary range $60,000-$80,000.
