Job Description
Plan, organize and direct activities relating to (1) library's computer system (SirsiDynix system, RFID, Internet, connection to city network, public microcomputers) and (2) Technical Services (cataloging, acquisitions, processing, interlibrary loan, withdrawals, bindery) and (3) Adult computer lab, including assisting and instructing patrons in the use of computer software programs and Internet. Exercises direct supervision of staff assigned in these three areas. Schedule and ensure proper staff coverage of computer lab. Participates in hiring, budget, policy development, including routine monitoring of budget status and modification of spending as required. Maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers and the public; respond to customer inquiries and complaints. Serve as a duty supervisor on a rotating schedule.
