Job Title: Paraprofessional - Library Media Assistant (7007); Paraprofessional - Computer Lab (7002) Department/School: Palmer Elementary School Salary Range/hourly rate: Starting Rate $10.22/hour (7007); Starting Rate $10.72/hour (7002) Work Year/Schedule: 6 hours/day, 5 days/week (7007); 1 hours/day, 5 days/week (7002) Application Due Date: December 17, 2007 Position Start Date: As Soon As Possible Responsibilities: (7007): Provides educational support to teachers and/or librarians and guides students in the use of library services. Monitors general circulation of books and multi-media. (7002): Supports teachers in the instruction and teaching of personal computer hardware and software skills. Prepares and sets up computer-based exercises, including materials for classroom instruction. Acts as a technical resource to students and faculty on computer hardware and software; performs troubleshooting. Requirements: (7007): Demonstrated knowledge of library sciences. One or more years of related experience preferred. An Associate’s Degree or 48 college semester credit hours or a BS/BA degree or a passing score on the WorkKeys assessment test is required. (7002): Must have demonstrated knowledge of PC and Mac OS operating systems and related software.
