Description
As part of the Public Services Bureau at the New Mexico State Library in Santa Fe, the Government Documents Librarian provides advanced or expert level government information services to library customers, as well as professional oversight of both the State Documents Depository Clearinghouse library system and collection and the Federal documents New Mexico Shared Regional depository collection.
The New Mexico State Library is committed to providing leadership that promotes effective library and literacy services and access to information for all residents of New Mexico.
This position will:
* Provide expert, professional level government information reference service in order to provide access to information and guidance to information sources for the general public, scholars, NM libraries, and government agencies
* Manage the NM Shared Federal Regional depository collection to ensure current and future public access to both physical and digital publications, focusing on the four corners region and the portions of the regional collection for which the State Library is responsible
* Manage the New Mexico State Documents Depository Clearinghouse library system and collection to ensure current and future public access to both physical and digital publications

Salary
$35,381 – $61,568 Annually. It is expected that the position will be hired at the midpoint of the salary range.
Qualifications
Master's degree from a program accredited by the American Library Association (or recognized by the appropriate body of another country) with two (2) years of experience in performing and providing library and information services.
The Ideal Candidate has:
* Experience providing adult research and reference support in a library setting.
* Experience working in a government documents depository, managing and developing a government documents collection.
