E-Marketing Specialist
Role:
Oversight, implementation, and daily management of HPLD’s online footprint including: branding, marketing, social media and e-communication.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
30% - E-PLATFORMS – Implements social media campaigns by creating, placing, tracking and adapting content; interacts with users; and monitors conversations on social media and all other e-platforms in order to engage users and non-users, promote library services and consistently communicate and present the HPLD brand. Creates and maintains a comprehensive social media policy. E
30% - E-COMMUNICATION – Coordinates all e-communication and marketing efforts consistent with overall marketing plans and strategies. Evaluates and implements all e-communication strategies ensuring that all communications tools/channels (E-newsletters, website(s), e-blasts), generated are in compliance with the district’s brand guidelines and visual identity standards. Updates and maintains all e-mail databases, monthly e-newsletters, etc. E
20% - WEBSITES (Internal and External)– Works with internal information management committee to maintain content areas and design of company internet; develops, edits, organizes, publishes and otherwise integrates all content for public consumption via the District website. E
15% - ONLINE MARKETING– Creates, places and monitors online advertisements in order to promote library services; works with the Community Relations and Marketing team in order to develop integrated content marketing strategies and campaigns. E
5% - OTHER –other duties as assigned in order to assist with the smooth operations of the department. N
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, or Journalism
Experience:
Two years of related experience
Skill in social media and e-communication
Or any combination of education and experience which provides the success factors.

Skill in proofreading
Able to learn software
Able to write using correct grammar and punctuation
Able to operate various office equipment including copiers
Able to be self-motivated
Physical Success Factors:
A minimal amount of lifting is required.

Pay Grade: 46
Compensation/Benefits: $22.37-$30.26 /hr, includes full-time benefits
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt
Hours: Full-time, 40 hrs/wk Some days, Evenings, and Weekends
