Job Description

The Johnson County Library, Buffalo, Wyoming, has a full-time job opening for a Technical Services/Children’s Librarian. Successful applicants should have a desire to work with the public, especially children and teens, and possess knowledge of children’s literature. Technological skills are a plus.

The person hired will be required to help run the Children’s and Teen summer reading programs during June and July, and will work closely with the assistant director/children’s librarian to plan story hour. Daily circulation and shelving duties are also required.

The position is 38 hours per week with some nights and Saturdays. Pay starts at $16 per hour with consideration for education and experience. It includes the Johnson County healthcare package and Wyoming Retirement.

Qualifications include MLS from an ALA accredited school or any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge.
