Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Performs duties related to financial and fiscal management of the Library. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
Preparation of financial statements, annual budget and other financial documents as needed; oversee the external audit; including reviewing and analyzing results then making recommendations as needed to ensure compliance. Responsible for supplying information and making recommendations to the Library Director and Board of Trustees regarding the district’s financial practices and in making policy decisions. Manage the payroll function ensuring efficient systems, processes and controls are in place. Responsible for the management of the district’s insurance including overseeing the annual insurance renewal process ensuring appropriate coverage is maintained at all times. Ensure appropriate review of contracts and leases soliciting external legal advice as needed. Working with the Facilities Manager to ensure facilities are properly maintained, applicable codes and compliance requirements are implemented, and that security needs are being met throughout the Library District. Participate in senior leadership team.
