Most of us have emailed or called a customer service line at some point in our lives and thought, “Huh. That was pretty underwhelming.” Or worse. Crummy service can leave your day tasting like spoiled yogurt. Eww. No. Maybe it’s a lack of knowledge or some “yeah, whatever” attitude that comes through in that interaction with a customer service associate. Either way, the results are distasteful.
At CLiC we don’t just strive for superior service. We all live it, which is why “deliver friendly service” is one of our core values. Through our partnership with hundreds of libraries, we help move nearly 3 million books and other types of library material from community to community across Colorado.
CLiC’s courier service provides behind-the-scenes infrastructure helping libraries achieve greatness in their communities.
For a person to be successful in the role of Courier Support Associate, attention to detail also is crucial. Sure, you’ve seen this in job ads before, but we’re serious. There’s a big difference between C338 and C383, and working through the complexities of our courier system requires accuracy and focus. Looking up information in databases and websites, recording information in spreadsheets, and entering information in emailed reports – careful work results in superior service.
But libraries aren’t just numbers to us, either. These are locations throughout Colorado staffed by some of the most dedicated public servants across the land. The Courier Support Associate interacts with those libraries, serving as a professional and approachable contact point.
Our organization provides a humane and supportive work environment, rich in experiential opportunities for people who are eager to learn, and who want to do work that matters to the world. If you’re a veteran or military family member reading this, we know service runs in your veins. We may be a good fit for you.

Please include within your letter an answer to this prompt: "Tell us a story about a time when you surpassed a customer’s expectations." Also, tell us about yourself as it relates to this job opportunity.
