Job Description

Looking for a people-centric individual driven to make the local community even better through advanced level program development, supervision of multiple divisions concurrently, skilled grant writing, community partnership development and strategic plan implementation. If you love the arts, library and sciences and enjoy partnership development, project and change management then this may be the position for you!

This position is exempt and the typical work schedule is Mondays-Fridays 8-5pm with evenings and weekends as needed.

Hiring Range: $38.65/hr - $48.43/hr
Salary Range: $38.65/hr - $58.20/hr

The incumbent performs staff level professional and administrative work supervising the operations of the Library and Cultural Affairs.  Performs professional and supervisory duties relating to the planning, directing, organizing, implementing, and coordinating all programs and activities associated with Library and Cultural Affairs operations.  The incumbent works in partnership with other employees, departments/divisions, agencies and the public in delivering effective and innovative services.  Provide holistic services to the public by seeking ways to integrate programs or services provided by other departments, divisions and agencies.  

Under the direction of the Library and Cultural Affairs Director, the Deputy Director serves as a member the department's leadership team.  The Deputy Director performs professional work in support of the department, its mission, vision and departmental values.  This position plays a key role in the development of strategic vision and the successful attainment of the goals and objectives for the department and the City and County of Broomfield.  

The Deputy Director exemplifies the characteristics required of a collaborative, innovative and resilient work culture and along with the Director, models the appropriate behavior to create and maintain a resilient work culture within the department.

The Deputy Director oversees the management of the department's day-to-day operations.  As the second highest ranking employee, the Deputy Director assumes the full responsibility of the department when the Director is not available.
