Job Description
The University of North Dakota’s Chester Fritz Library (CFL) welcomes applications for the position of Social Science Reference, Instruction, & Collections Librarian, who also serves on the Open Educational Resources Working Group on Campus.
Position Details:
- Provide reference and research services.
- Act as bibliographer for specified academic departments; responsible for collection development/management for specified subject areas of the collection as well as the reference collection.
- Participate in Library’s information literacy instruction program
Minimum Requirements:
- ALA accredited Master's Degree
- Undergraduate degree or coursework in the social sciences.
- Experience supporting research and information needs in collaboration with faculty, staff, and students.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Integrated Library Systems, information resource databases.
- Successful completion of criminal history records check
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with emerging research service trends in social sciences librarianship.
- Experience with appropriate resources and collection development in academic or research libraries.
- Experience with cutting-edge technologies and their applications in libraries and higher education.
- Experience with Open Access and Open Educational Resources OERS.
