Loveland Public Library is looking to fill a 20 hour benefited position in its Teen Services Division. This position is responsible for teen programming, collection development, technology services and coordinating volunteers. Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic, forward-thinking, technology-minded and excited about the prospect of growing and learning in an ever-changing environment.
Loveland Public Library serves as the single municipal library of Loveland, Colorado with a service area of 75,000. The library’s Teen Hangout, a separate area designed just for teens, includes a gameroom, makercart, meeting room and common area. Over 8,000 teens visited the Teen Hangout last year afterschool to hang out with friends, participate in programming, access technology and enjoy snacks provided by Food Bank for Larimer County.
Additional Info & Requirements
Education and/or experience:
2 (two) years college coursework or Associates degree required. 1 (one) year library or closely related experience required. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year for year basis.
The Community
Responsible for providing a variety of services in the Teen Department including, but not limited to: technology and maker services and certification, customer service, programming, and coordinating teen volunteers. This position reports to the Teen Services Librarian II.
This is a 20 hour per week position.
The salary range for this position is $14.81 - $20.77 per hour with a hiring range of $14.81 - $17.79, depending on qualifications and experience.
