Come to the Sunflower State! The Olathe Public Library in Olathe, Kansas is seeking a Director who has the vision and desire to keep this progressive and thriving library moving forward. This opportunity is open due to the retirement of the current Director.
Olathe is one of the largest suburbs in the KC Metro Area and is routinely included on “best places to live” lists, thanks to its diverse economy, excellent schools, and family-friendly atmosphere. Kansas City is known for its barbecue, jazz, abundance of city fountains, and the fact that it straddles two states: Missouri and Kansas.
The library serves approximately 142,000 residents of the City of Olathe. It just opened a state-of-the-art library in one location and is planning to replace its current downtown library as well. Besides these two full-service locations, OPL serves the community through additional reduced-service locations and extensive outreach services.
Salary midpoint is $122,191 and is negotiable based on experience.
