COMPUTER NETWORK SPECIALIST II The Lincoln Library-The Public Library of Springfield is seeking an individual to provide support for personal computer (PC) software and hardware in stand-alone and network environments; answer questions and complete requests for service. Provide support to users to resolve problems with software operations, monitor networks to assure proper operations, install software and hardware, and provide maintenance. This position requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of a Bachelor's degree with course work in computer science; two years’ experience in personal computer network administration, application software in a network environment and with Microsoft network administration and application software installation in a network environment; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with library specific software and applications preferred. Must pass the required background investigation and sign the departmental confidentiality statement. A valid Class D driver’s license is also required. Current employees (where applicable) and persons hired or rehired after 1-1-17 shall maintain their bona fide residence within the corporate limits of the city during all periods of service. Newly hired or rehired employees have 12 months from date of hire to establish city residency. MINIMUM STARTING SALARY: $4,540.43 MONTHLY Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
