Job Description

If you are someone who strives to provide excellent customer service, has strong communication skills, enjoys problem-solving, and meets the minimum qualifications, then you may be the perfect fit for the Library Technician 3 (LT3) position at Oregon State University Libraries and Press.  

The monthly salary for this union-supported position is limited to the range of $2910 - $4387.  Typically, the starting salary is based on experience for this position, and is not negotiable outside of the noted range.

Some of the key minimum required qualifications include: 

  • Bachelors degree plus two years of current (within 5 years) experience in a Library; OR 4 years of current library experience.
  • Experience purchasing, processing payments, tracking invoices and credits for an organization.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office (I.e. Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Experience providing excellent customer service experience.
  • This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
