The Emporia Public Library is looking for an energetic Youth Services Assistant.
This position must enjoy working with children ages birth to fifth grade and their families/caregivers on a regular basis and occasionally working with tweens and teens. This position will be responsible for planning and administering programs and promoting literacy to the community in a variety of ways and locations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills; a competence in technology; be creative, positive and promote excellent customer service. This candidate must have the ability to build and maintain relationships with co-workers and library patrons. This is a 40 hour a week position and must be available to work nights and weekends.
