Job Description

Colorado State University Libraries seeks a part-time, temporary Information Literacy Instructor to support the College Liaison Librarians in delivering effective instructional programs and research services for the CSU community. This assignment will include actively teaching in the information literacy program that supports the university’s CO150 (undergraduate college composition) program, and other project-based duties will be assigned based on organizational needs and candidate skills and experience.

This hourly position will run from mid-February- April 3 and will have set weekly hours for the duration of the appointment. Hours will include at least 4 hours on Mon. and Wed. mornings (8am-12pm (preferred) or 9am-1pm). The final number of hours per week are flexible, and the final schedule will be negotiated with the supervisor. All hours will be worked on-site at the Colorado State University Libraries.

The CO150 information literacy program has an established curriculum, and there is a robust training program in place for new instructors. Early career librarians and current library school graduate students who have completed at least 9 hours of credits in an ALA-accredited program are encouraged to apply.

Completed applications must be received by Monday January 27 at 11:59 p.m. (MST).

For full consideration, applications must be received by the deadline; however, the candidate pool will be kept open until the position is filled.

The full position announcement and application instructions are available at https://libguides.colostate.edu/c.php?g=995255. Candidates are advised they must address each of the required qualifications and as many of the preferred qualifications as applicable in their written application.

Colorado State University is an EO/EA/AA employer and conducts background checks on all final candidates.
