Job Description
The position exists to provide support to the librarian by preparing materials for both library collections, responding to requests for information from staff and patients, lending and borrowing of materials through interlibrary loan, shelving materials in both libraries, keeping track of usage statistics, and providing technical support with computers, printers, audio books, etc. It is for a .5 FTE, weekday hours (hours can be flexible), working under the supervision of the Library Director.

We are looking for someone who has solid customer service skills, likes to do a variety of tasks, and would enjoy interacting with a diverse group of library patrons. The hospital is located in SW Denver, with free parking. Accessible by RTD bus lines: Route 29/36/36L and Route 51.
The Community
The Colorado Mental Health Institute at Ft. Logan (CMHIFL) is a 94 bed inpatient psychiatric facility located in Denver that provides mental health treatment to the adult population in the metro area. The mission of CMHIFL is to provide the highest quality mental health services to adults with complex, serious and persistent mental illness within the resources available. There are two libraries at the facility, managed by one librarian. The Medical Library serves the informational, educational, and research-related needs of the clinical, administrative, and support services staff members, and students in clinical training. The Patient Library provides current materials for the recreational and educational reading needs of the patients.
