Job Description
We are seeking two detail oriented, qualified individuals to assist in a three week, temporary project relocating a sensitive collection of archives in Providence, RI.
Duties include but are not limited to the following tasks:
• Identifying and ordering archival material for moving
• Scanning and inventory control
• Re-shelving material in specific shelf order
Requirements:
• Must be available for immediate employment beginning on Monday, July 13th
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Must be able to repetitively reach and bend in order to access high and low shelves
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must agree to undergo CORI background check
• Must strictly adhere to all COVID 19 policies and procedures in keeping with state/local guidance and individual institutions, which include daily self-health checks, wearing of facial covering, social distancing, frequent hand washing/sanitizing, daily temperature checks, etc.
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Computer skills, especially related to inventory control
• Experience working with archival collections
• Library Science knowledge / education
Hours of Operation
• Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm
• Breaks: Paid 15 minutes at or around 10 am and 2 pm
• Lunch: Unpaid ½ hour at or around noon

Additional Info & Requirements
This is a temporary, full time position that is expected to last for three weeks. Other temporary, full time, projects available in Boston, MA, Windsor, CT and NYC, NY upon completion of this project.
