Garfield County Public Library District (GCPLD) is an innovative organization that values new ideas, diversity, optimism, and interpersonal respect. With a recent boost in revenue, GCPLD enjoys a healthy marketing budget, and looks forward to increasing the level of the community's awareness of our programs, services, and resources.
GCPLD is growing and evolving and is looking for a strong leader to join the senior leadership team to cultivate this evolution. This executive level position actively serves on GCPLD's Executive Leadership Team, attends the monthly Library Board meeting, and represents GCPLD on external committees and task forces as needed.
The Communications and Marketing Manager develops and implements GCPLD's Marketing and Communication Plan; is responsible for strategic internal and external relationships and communications, as well as the utilization of research, data, and analytics; and maintains familiarity with library trends related to marketing and communication and makes recommendations to the Executive Director.
This position is responsible for the expenditure and management of the Marketing department budget and directly supervises and evaluates the Community Engagement Coordinator and the Creative Lead.
The Communications and Marketing Manager strives to elevate the profile of GCPLD overall, provides outstanding internal and external customer service, and maintains excellent rapport with contractors and vendors.
This position requires a four-year college or university degree with major coursework in marketing, communications, business administration, or public relations and at least five years of experience in related fields.
This is a full-time, exempt position. The pay range for this position is $52,000 - $66,560 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, employer contribution to a retirement fund, paid vacation and sick days, and holidays.
