Job Description

The Prescott Library at The Wheeler School in Providence, RI, provides a safe and nurturing environment for students, faculty, and staff and works to ensure that students from grades N-12 develop essential skills needed to navigate the rapidly evolving information landscape of the 21st century.

Job Summary and Duties: Library Aide

The Library Aide provides clerical, administrative and tech support including, managing the circulation desk, assisting with the public access catalog, processing new books, working with the Follett Destiny report feature, ordering materials, and supplies, and any work deemed necessary to support the library program (s), in the Lower, Middle, and Upper School Libraries. This position will provide support in classrooms for Lower School Library Classes during remote/hybrid learning.  This is a part-time academic year position of 20 hours per week.

Qualifications and Performance Expectations:

The successful candidate will have some experience working in a library and/or a school setting. The Library Aide will demonstrate attention to detail, proficiency with computers and the GSuite, and the ability to work independently. In addition, the candidate will have demonstrated:

Compensation: $20.00/hr depending on experience. There are no additional benefits with this position
