Job Description
1. Oversee cataloging functions of the Library. 2. Perform original cataloging in a variety of formats using accepted national standards. 3. Manage the Library’s online catalog system (currently SirsiDynix Horizon). 4. Manage serials. 5. Participate in providing reference services and bibliographic instruction. 6. Contribute to collection development and serve as a department liaison according to interest, expertise, and the Library’s needs. 7. Support colleagues in designing Library outreach that combines both personalized service and new technology. This may include participation in a statewide virtual reference project or similar projects. 8. Support the atmosphere of academic excellence through appropriate research activities, professional development and service, continuing education, and/or community involvement. 9. Serve on a faculty committee (currently Faculty Affairs, Curriculum, or Assessment).Additional Info & Requirements
Strong background in current cataloging policies and procedures, including application of MARC, AACR2, OCLC, and LC classification and subject headings and LC name and subject authoritiesHR Info
