Job Description
The Adult Services Assistant provides program support and assistance to the Adult Programming and Collections Librarian. The person in this role assists patrons by responding to a wide variety of questions and requests, builds partnerships in the community, and provides outreach services for the library district.
The Community
The Clearview Library District serves Windsor, Severance, and West Greeley communities.
Outreach: Responsible for Lobby Stops at adult residential centers in the community. This job function includes performing reader’s advisory services and providing offsite circulation functions. Responds to the needs and interests of seniors in the community.
Programming: Plan, conduct, and evaluate library programs for adults of all ages. May facilitate book discussion groups that meet via Zoom or in the library. Support marketing efforts for programming and outreach services.
Display creation and Collection Assistance: Develop and monitor in-library displays. Based on patron requests and needs, suggest new materials for the library’s collection and work with the Adult Programming and Collections Librarian to maintain adult collections.
Customer Service: Offer patron assistance on the use of computers, computer programs, databases, printing, scanning, electronic devices, and photocopier. Provide suggestions to readers and assist patrons on the use of the library catalog. Place unavailable library items on hold and/or request interlibrary loan for customers and staff.
