The District Manager is responsible for supporting the operations of the entire library system. Primary duties include responsibility for inter-library loan, circulation, collection maintenance, facility needs, and overseeing library volunteers. Other responsibilities include developing and evaluating library services in conjunction with the Library Director. District Manager will at all times communicate effectively with the library community, both staff and public, and support the Director in being a leader in the community while serving as an official representative of the library district. Provides assistance to library patrons of all ages and abilities by performing a variety of supervised and unsupervised general, basic, routine, and moderately complex tasks, using personal, administrative, and technical skills and knowledge.
Performs all duties of Patron Services Clerks, interpret library policies and procedures; enforces appropriate patron conduct as necessary, helps to develop community awareness of library materials and services, develops and carries out a plan for marketing library services, and assists with staff evaluations.
