The Louisville Public Library seeks a warm, enthusiastic, customer service oriented and technologically savvy individual to work in our busy Youth Services Department. The Library Associate is committed to and offers excellent customer service, always putting the patron first. This includes working closely with children, teens, and families; recommending materials to read or listen to for those groups; locating library materials; and assisting with patron accounts. This position involves creating magical events for patrons—whether that’s an engaging teen program, a storytime for babies, or a family program for all ages. The ideal candidate reads voraciously and loves to recommend books; has passion and an eye for attractive merchandising and display; confidently takes on new tasks and projects; and thrives in a collaborative environment.
This is a 25 hour per week position.
