Job Description

Engineering Library Branch Supervisor- (LIBRARY TECHNICIAN III) G3C4XN POSTING 804488 for position #100834 Paygrade G42 ($3,128 - $4,383) Nature of Work: This position directs the daily operations of the Engineering Library, including supervising, training, and scheduling student personnel. As collection supervisor, maintains the integrity of the collection by assuring correct shelving by student assistants, assigning shelf reading and inventories, and correcting or adding bibliographic records for material in the collection. The position also participates in reference desk activities and solves problems as needed. The position has overall responsibility for circulation of materials and facility maintenance.

Applications must be received by July 8, 2008 To Apply: Please visit the following website and SEARCH for POSTING 804488: www.jobsatcu.com Minimum Requirements: Four years full-time (or equivalent) of general library experience involving typing, ordering, preparing, shelving, and maintaining library materials including two years of library experience involving cataloging/classifying, providing reference and patron services, and creating/revising procedures which must have included experience with an online integrated library system. Highly Desirable: The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, along with experience with students and experience with bibliographic tools for the disciplines of science and engineering. Experience in customer service is highly desired. Substitution: Two years of course work from an accredited college or university including twelve semester hours of library science course work may substitute for two years of the general library experience. **Please Note: If education is used to meet the minimum requirements, you must submit a transcript copy by the closing date.** Necessary Special Qualifications: Note: The University of Colorado at Boulder is committed to providing a safe and productive learning and living community.
