Delta County Libraries is seeking a Finance Manager to join an innovative team and assist in leadership of the Library District by managing all fiscal and accounting processes and systems, taking the lead in financial administration and budgeting, analyzing and reporting financial information and projections, and completing general accounting duties. This position is open until filled with priority given to applications received by Monday, May 17 at 5:00pm.
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related field. Master’s degree in accounting or finance or related field preferred. Minimum of five (5) years experience in accounting, finance, or related area. Experience in government and/or public sector preferred. Knowledge of Government Accounting Standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Colorado state statutes. Demonstrated skill in accounting procedures for construction projects and debt offerings. Demonstrated ability in ensuring ethical standards are practiced in regard to financial management; in defining and explaining technical accounting procedures; in analyzing financial data, tracking revenues and compiling related reports; in aligning strategy with people, processes and systems; in maintaining and conveying confidential information; and in working through tight deadlines and multiple tasks. Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks online, technology, electronic devices, computers, the Internet, Microsoft Office Suite, and other office equipment.
