Job Description
The Resource Sharing Assistant provides support to the Resource Sharing programs at UO Libraries. The essential function of this position is to lend UO Libraries’ material to other information centers worldwide, as well as process Borrowing and Document Delivery requests for UO patrons. Responsibilities include intake, processing, and final disposition of transactions and requests through the use of library-specific applications including ILLIAD and Alma/Primo. The Resource Sharing Assistant also resolves problems and explains policies and guidelines to local patrons and external staff via telephone, e-mail, and in person. This position reports to the Resource Sharing Manager and assists with the training and monitoring of student assistants.
