Job Description

Student Success Resident Librarian

CSU Libraries seeks a highly collaborative MLS/MLIS graduate for a three-year appointment as a Student Success Resident Librarian. New graduates or those who will complete their MLIS by September 1, 2021 are highly encouraged to apply. The Resident will be a valuable professional member of the Scholarly Communication and Collection Development division at CSU Libraries. Core job duties will include providing support for the Semester at Sea program, contributing to the Libraries’ strategic plan, and enhancing key information literacy instruction and outreach programs.

Building on a foundation of librarianship, professional opportunities, and exploration of strategies toward greater student success are a key component of this position. The Student Success Resident Librarian will select a project or projects, supporting the Libraries’ strategic plan, to cultivate increased expertise in areas that support their personal interests and professional development goals within the Scholarly Communications and Collection Development division. The Resident will have counterparts at other libraries and opportunities for networking through the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Diversity Alliance.
